Constipation is usually classified by the medical profession as hard stools, difficult bowel movements, or less than one bowel movement per day. By health standards, anyone having less than two or three bowel movements per day, and/or hard to move stools, would be classified as constipated. In other words, “If your bathroom is a reading room, and it takes longer than two or three minutes to have a bowel movement, you have a constipation problem.”
